The lower valve body cavity of the union-style plastic diaphragm valve is separated from the upper valve cover cavity, ensuring that components such as the valve stem and disc above the diaphragm are not corroded by the medium. This eliminates the need for a packing seal structure and prevents external leakage of the medium.

Structure

It resembles a valve made of plastic (PVC), with threads or clips (unions) on both ends and a handwheel or handle in the middle. When the handwheel is turned, it presses the internal diaphragm, which acts like a rubber stopper to block or open the flow path.

When the valve stem is in the upper position, the curved diaphragm bends upward, allowing the valve to open. When the valve stem moves downward, it drives the pressure plate to bend the diaphragm, pressing it against the valve seat sealing area to close the valve.
